Tony’s 10m Band Report
As usual after a major contest the week was a bit slow, some DX but not loads of activity.
TZ1CE (Mali) and TO9W (St Martin) were popular, unsurprisingly. So was V31XX (Belize) and 5H3WX (Zanzibar Is).
I’m still trying to trace an anomaly in my logging program that makes it run very slowly after logging a few contacts

ARISS contact is scheduled for students at Notre Dame Jogakuin Junior and Senior High School, Kyoto, Japan
This will be a direct contact via amateur radio between students in Kyoto, Japan, and Astronaut Raja Chari, amateur radio call sign KI5LIU

Making contact with the past: Operating radios on USS North Carolina
In honor of the 80th anniversary of the attacks on Pearl Harbor, the Azalea Coast Amateur Radio Club took over two radio rooms aboard USS North Carolina in Wilmington to make contact with ham radio operators from around the world

Iceland radio hams use of 1850-1900 kHz renewed for 2022

ARISS contact scheduled for students in Braunschweig, Germany
This will be a direct contact via amateur radio between astronaut Matthias Maurer KI5KFH onboard the International Space Station and students at DLR_School_Lab Braunschweig, Braunschweig, Germany
The downlink frequency for this contact is 145.800 MHz narrowband FM and may be heard by listeners in Europe that are within the ISS-footprint

Senator Blumenthal supports amateur radio at Senate confirmation hearing
Senator Richard Blumenthal (CT) received an affirmative reply from FCC Chairwoman Jessica Rosenworcel when he asked her to commit to providing his office ‘an update on the steps that the FCC is taking to support amateur radio operators.’
