Tony’s 10m Band Report
What a phenomenal week. The weekend was of course the SSB contest with nearly 15,000 contacts reported on the Sunday and a similar number on the Saturday. Almost impossible to pick out the best but 7P8RU (Lesotho), HD8R (Galapagos Islands) and D4F (Cape Verde) were all fighting for top place

This the D4F antenna farm. What chance has anyone else got against that lot?

ARDC grant award for the ARISS-USA STEREO Education Project
ARISS-USA is pleased to announce that Amateur Radio Digital Communications (ARDC) awarded a 5-year grant for a project called, “Student and Teacher Education via Radio Experimentation and Operations” (STEREO). Total grant funding over five years is nearly $1.3 million

Solar Cycle 25 October report from AA6XE
October 2021 has come to a close and here are the Monthly Solar Numbers. The Mean Solar Flux is 89 (88.9) and the Monthly Mean Sunspot number is 38(New Scale). The Solar Flux is up a couple of ticks from the previous month while the SSN is down 26 percent from 52(NS) recorded in September

South African Mega CW QRS week starting Sunday 14 November
This week, which runs from 04:00 UTC (06:00 CAT) on Sunday 14 November to 16:00 UTC (18:00 CAT) on Saturday 20 November, is exclusively geared towards the new guys coming up in the ranks and will be comfortable, with a minimum requirement of 8 wpm and not exceeding 12 wpm

LCARC Rally this Sunday
LCARC, the Limerick Clare Amateur Radio Club will hold a Rally in the Radisson Blu Hotel and Spa on Sunday 7th of November 2021. Doors will open at 11:00. Entrance fee is 5 Euro per person
