Tony’s 10m Band Report
What a roller coaster week. Monday and Tuesday poor, Wednesday OK, Thursday poor, Friday OK. Saturday poor and Sunday really full steam ahead. 5I3B and 5I3W (Tanzania) were early week sought after stations then LZ4TX (Bulgaria) at the weekend, a cluster of beacons on Thursday and CA4PSH (Chile) on Friday. I’m at a loss as to why LZ4TX was so popular, his listing in QRZ.COM is very scanty. Not so for CA4PSH. His QRZ page is most excellent. Just look at this beam

FEMA announces HF interoperability activity on 60-meter channels 1 and 2
Channels 1 and 2 on 60 meters will be available starting on August 30 for interoperability between US government and US amateur radio stations involved in Hurricane Ida emergency communications

 

Germany cuts the cost of amateur radio exams
It has been announced in Germany’s Federal Law Gazette that the cost of amateur radio exams will be sharply reduced from October 1, 2021
