Solar Physicist Predicts a Slightly Better Solar Cycle 25
October 07, 2020 08:16 PM – ARRL -Solar physicist Leif Svalgaard of the W.W. Hansen Experimental Physics Laboratory at Stanford University has predicted a maximum sunspot number of 128 ±10, slightly better than Solar Cycle 24.

British Columbia Radio Amateur Hears Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter
October 07, 2020 07:52 PM – ARRL -According to a Spaceweather.com report, Scott Tilley, VE7TIL, in British Columbia, Canada, received a signal from the NASA Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter (MRO), flying just 274 kilometers (about 170 miles) above the red planet’s surface. Hurricane Delta Prompts Activations of Hurricane Watch Net, WX4NHC, SATERN
October 07, 2020 03:33 PM – ARRL -The Hurricane Watch Net (HWN), WX4NHC at the National Hurricane Center (NHC), and The Salvation Army’s SATERN have announced activations for Hurricane Delta, the latest Atlantic storm. The HWN moved to its Alert Level 4 on Wednesday and is now running on 14.325 MHz.
