“All,
I was talking with another amateir operator yesterday, and the topic of
learning opportunities came up. I discussed with that operator online
classes which my apprentices must take during their probationary period. A
small handful of those classes are available to the public at no cost.
It occured to me today that there might be an operator out there somewhere
who is interested in studying the science of our hobby, if only to fill the
doldrums of the lockdown. So I sorted out the ones that are publicly
available for free. These, and other vendors, probably have other classes
too. These are just the ones I use for my new guys to cut their teeth on.
These are vendor specific, but do a great job of conveying the
fundamentals; not just their product’s use.
I hope somebody out there finds something here helpful. Just know that the
ones from Anritsu can be a bit cranky about browser settings.
