News for Thursday 19 March

Tony’s 10m Band Report
What a weird week and I think it’s going to become even weirder. Friday, Saturday and Sunday conditions weren’t too bad at all.The rest of the week was dominated by 9J2LA (Zambia) with TO7DL (Reunion) a close second. TZ4AM (Mali) did pop up on Friday.

On Saturday L1D (Argentina) [it is real a call] and FR4QT (another Reunion) on Sunday. I worked a stack of Europeans mainly Spanish stations

Coronavirus: BATC offers amateur radio clubs free streaming service
In order to support the worldwide amateur radio community during the COVID-19 virus pandemic, BATC is offering clubs free use of the BATC Video Streaming Service for virtual meetings

FCC levies $18,000 fine on Louisiana amateur radio licensee
ARRL reports that in an enforcement case prompted by complaints filed in 2017, the FCC has imposed an $18,000 forfeiture on Jerry W. Materne, KC5CSG, of Lake Charles, Louisiana, for intentional interference and failure to identify

Conference 2020 is cancelled
