I want to make sure that everyone has seen this. There are only three days
left in which to participate. We came close to losing the WWV/WWVH service.
It would be a shame if we did eventually use it because we didn’t take this
opportunity to speak up.

Hi,
This information was passed on by Bob W6RGG, Second Vice President ARRL
QUOTE
August 14-24, WWV and WWVH will send a US Department of Defense message
at 10 minutes past the hour on WWV and 50 past the hour on WWVH.
Listeners are asked to take a survey on it:
http://www.dodmars.org/home/wwv-survey.
The survey will be used by personnel to show NIST, National Institute of
Standards and Technology, part of the US Department of Commerce, how
their timing signals are used around the world. WD8DBY, head of “U.S.
Army MARS” says “every vote counts” in demonstrating the importance of
WWV and WWVH.”
Maybe if enough of us do their survey, the stations will remain on the
air. Please take the time to help preserve this valuable asset.
Thanks and 73, Bob W6RGG
