REF and EURAO meeting on 2m crisis
The president of REF, F5DJL, visited the EURAO booth at HAM RADIO 2019 and met its Secretary-General, EA3CIW, who, a week before, had sent an email offering support and collaboration in the 144-146 MHz affair before French Administration

RAC Website shutdown
The Radio Amateurs of Canada website will be shutting down as of 1700hrs (5:00pm) on Friday, July 5, 2019 to facilitate the switch over to a new server and operational software

US Exams in VK
To mark the updated General question pool, Oz VE ran what appears to have been the first exam session in the world to use a paper drawn from this pool

Zambia DXpedition

Hawaii Island Amateur/Ham Radio News:

According to ARRL Pacific Section Manager Joseph Speroni (AH0A), the next Hawaii QSO Party will be held on 23-25 August 2019.  Joe adds that “There will be a lot of activity out there to work.  Hawaii stations work everyone. “Grid Madness 2019”, the Hawaii Island-based VHF/UHF Simplex Contest, is set for Sunday, 15 September 2019, from 1300 to 1700 HST.  You can download a revised contest package here:  https://gridmadness.blogspot.com.

Just a reminder:  The monthly test of the Mauna Kea repeater (WH6FIU–146.72 MHz-PL100.0) will be held today, Saturday, 06 July 2019, from 1200 to 1300 HST.
