Hawaii Island radio amateurs are encouraged to sign up for the new ARRL EMCOMM Course (EC-001).  According to Pacific Section Manager Joseph Speroni (AH0A), the “course addresses Hawaii’s situation as an island state” and covers “the practical aspects of radio communications as well as the skills needed to better serve local communities in emergencies.”  Pacific Section Emergency Coordinator (SEC) Clem Jung (KH7HO) will handle student  registration for the EC-001 course and “coordinate scheduling with the ARRL Education department.”  To register, please contact Clem at kh7ho@arrl.net.
