Brief ARRL Website Outage Planned for Wednesday, February 13
Some services on the ARRL website may be interrupted briefly on Wednesday, February 13, sometime between 1100 UTC and 1300 UTC. This outage is to accommodate a hardware test of the existing failover system for all systems behind the Rackspace firewall. Affected systems are the main website, including the ARRL Store and contesting-related pages. Logbook of The World (LoTW), email, and Headquarters will not be affected. We apologize for any inconvenience.
Hawaii Island Amateur/Ham Radio notes:
The Kohala Hamakua Radio Club (KHRC) invites you to “The Big Island of Hawaii International Swap Meet/Ham Fest” on Saturday, 02 February 2019, at the Waimea Community Center. Doors open to the public at 0930 HST. The venue includes a swap meet, vendor sales, an EMCOMM forum and roundtable, guest speakers, and VE testing for new and upgraded amateur radio licenses. The EMCOMM forum begins at 1100 HST, while VE testing starts around 1300 HST. For more information, please contact Steve Milner (WH6N) at wh6n@arrl.net.
Dean (KH6B) announces that the ham radio breakfast will be held on Saturday, 02 February 2019, 0800 HST, at KMC up in Volcano. Make sure you wear a warm jacket as it was in the 30s Wednesday morning.
