- Thanks to Leigh of the Big Island Amateur Radio Newsletter and to Barbara (NH7FY) for this status report on the closing of lunch service at Nani Mau Gardens. BIARC members have been gathering for Friday weekly lunches at the popular tourist attraction over the past few years. But, with the closing of the lunch venue, other arrangements for Friday lunch will have to be made. According to Leigh, the closing of Jack’s Tours “has taken away about half of their lunch business and prompted the decision.”
- Jim Sugg (AH6AE) says he needs some radio amateurs to help out with the upcoming Emergency Preparedness Fair in Waimea (Hawaii Island) on Saturday, 25 August 2018, from 0800 to 1200 HST.
