Here’s a quick note from Joe regarding some interesting operating activities for August. Please add these events to your operating calendar.
“Hi ARRL members! Hope your summer is going well.
We have two operating events coming up that you might want to put on
your calendar.
1) The CWops club will start a new CW class for beginners or anyone
wanting to improve their CW skills around Sept 1. Check their website
for details:
https://cwops.org/cw-academy-2/
If interested, contact ad6e@arrl.net directly. Graduating students from
Alan’s previous classes report great sessions with him, and they really
learn CW!
2) The Hawai’i QSO Party will be held from 6pm Friday August 24 to
5:59pm Sunday August 26th, 2018. All Hawaiian hams are invited to
participate. Information and rules are at:
http://www.hawaiiqsoparty.org.
With mainland stations beaming at us, this is an opportunity for hams
new to contesting to have fun.
