NASA TV to air US spacewalk at the International Space Station
Two astronauts will venture outside the International Space Station on Friday, Feb. 16, to move components for the station’s robotic system into long-term storage.

Live coverage of the spacewalk will begin at 5:30 a.m. EST on NASA Television and the agency’s website.

HPP Radio Day.

Everyone is invited to the HPP Radio Day on Saturday, 28 April 2018, from 0900 to 1600 (HST), at the Hawaiian Paradise Park Community Center.  Event coordinator Mike Stratton (KH6PAC), says “Our plan is to have several different radios set up…there will be lots of activities and demonstrations.” Set-up starts at 0800 (HST), with tear-down set for  1600 (HST).  For details, contact Mike at jefffan@hotmail.com.

Technician License Prep Classes underway.

The first in a series of Hawaii Island Technician Class License preparation classes begins today (Thursday, 15 February 2018.  The class will meet at Hilo’s Aupuni Conference Room near the Hawaii County Building.  The final exam for the course is set for Thursday, 22 March 2018.  Other Technician Class License classes are set for Kona, Ocean View, and Kea’au later this year.  For details, contact Doug Wilson (KH7DQ) at douscelle@aol.com.
