To all,
This year’s SKYWARN Recognition Day (SRD) will be held this Friday, December 1, 2017 from 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. HST. Net Control Operators will be operating from the National Weather Service Honolulu Forecast Office at the University of Hawaii Manoa Campus using the Ham station KH6SW.
We will be operating voice and Fldigi on the following frequencies and linked repeaters:
– HF on 7.080 USB
– VHF on the DEM RACES and EARC linked repeaters: Manawahua, 146.860; Diamond Head, 146.880; Down town Honolulu, 146.980; Kailua, 146.660; and Manakapu, 146.800 all with pl 88.5
– UHF IRLP linked repeaters on Oahu: Round Top, 443.425; Waimanalo, 443.375; and Mokuleia 443.400 all with pl 114.8
– Winlink RMS Express: kh7ho@winlink.org
The following information will be required when you check-in. Please note you do not have to be a registered SKYWARN weather spotter to participate:
– Call sign
– First name
– SKYWARN ID number, if you have one
– Location
– Brief real world weather report, i.e., It is sunny and the temperature is 78 degrees.
You can call in on any or all of the following modes: HF, VHF, IRLP and Winlink RMS Express.
