Comment:

While I normally don’t promote the publications of other Amateur Radio publishers, I will make an exception in this case.  CQ Communications, Inc., has obtained permission from Don Miller (W9WNV) to re-issue his classic “DX Handbook” as a special 50th Anniversary Edition.

Don published the original book back in 1968.  According to CQ, this classic DX study “presented critical information found in no single volume.”  The book is a nostalgic “look back” at what DX was five decades ago.

Here is the topic index of the 50th Anniversary Edition:

  • “DX Propagation
  • Amateur Frequencies and the DXer.
  •  The DXer: International Factors and Local Regulations
  • The DX Station
  • Working DX From the Home Station
  • Mobile DXing
  • DXing From Rare Locations
  • QSLing
  • The SWL DXer
  • DX Contests
  • DX Awards
  • DX Clubs
  • Great Circle Bearing Charts    . . .  and more!”
