Two important and challenging Amateur Radio events are coming to Hawaii in August and September this year.
First, the Hawaii QSO Party will be held from 0400 UTC, 26 August 2017, to 0400 UTC, 28 August 2017. The purpose of the event is to promote HF operation from the unique Hawaii destination in the Pacific. Many radio amateurs will be looking for Hawaii as a DXCC entity or as a state for the WAS (Worked All States) Award. For questions or comments, please contact Alan (AD6E) at ad6e@arrl.net.
Second, the 2017 Hawaii Grid Madness VHF/UHF simplex event is set for Sunday, 17 September 2017, from 1300 to 1700 HST.
