Amateur Radio operators in the state of Hawaii participated in the 2017 Makani Pahili Exercise on Saturday, 15 July 2017, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Hawaii Standard Time. The hurricane preparedness exercise was timely, considering the approach of Hurricane Fernanda, which should enter the Central Pacific on Thursday, 20 July 2017.
