Thanks to Eric Grabowski (KH6CQ) for this article from “The Kohala Mountain News.”  On page 8 of the 24 March 2017 edition, April Lee (WH7WZ) describes the work of radio amateur Norm Cohler in reactivating and supporting the North Kohala Community Emergency Response Team (CERT).  Norm is also active in the Kohala Hamakua Radio Club.  A nicely done article highlighting how radio amateurs provide needed services to their community.  Thanks should also go to the staff of “The Kohala Mountain News” for publishing this article.

In other Hawaii Island Amateur Radio news, be sure to attend “Radio Day” on Saturday, 29 April 2017, beginning at 9 a.m.  at the Eden Roc park and community pavilion. Check out the demonstrations and get an understanding of HF/VHF/UHF operations from experienced and knowledgeable radio amateurs. You can also sign up for upcoming classes for your first license or upgrade your current license class.
