Amateur Radio Mini Field Day

Big Island ARRL News, 23 November 2016, 05:20 hrs, UTC, Post #51.

Here’s an interesting item I received from Darren Holbrook (KH6OWL), the ARRL Public Information Officer for Oahu:

American Radio Relay League (ARRL)                                                November 21, 2016

Amateur Radio Mini Field Day

The Emergency Amateur Radio Club of Honolulu will hold a Mini Field Day on 17 December 2016. The event is open to the public and is free.

Location: Hawaii Kai Boat Ramp

Time: 4 PM to 10 PM (You can come anytime during that time)

The purpose of this field day is a social gathering, to use Radios to make long distance contacts and to spread the hobby’s many ways to make contacts. We will also be showing different radio set up for both base and mobile stations with different antennas configurations.
