Joe also reminds all radio amateurs in Hawaii that the Big Island Hamfest will be held on 12 November 2016, 0900-1400 hrs (HST) at the Waimea Park Facility on Kawaihae Road in Waimea (Kamuela).  This is an ARRL-sponsored event and door prizes and refreshments will be available.  Amateur Radio License testing will begin at 1300 hrs (HST).
